Local Boating Basics
North Dakota and Minnesota require youth ages 12-15 to pass an approved boater safety course before they operate watercraft over 10 hp, including personal watercraft. Additionally many insurance companies offer a premium discount to boat owners who have completed this course. Our FREE course is offered the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the Month, April-August from 5 to 8 pm at ODR.
Boater Safety Card
A current boater safety card is required to use any motorized water craft. Reservations may be made 90 days in advance with a non-refundable fee due at the time the reservation is made. This fee, equivalent to one days rental, will be applied towards total fees when items are returned.
Rentals are issued with a full tank of gas and a full tank is required on the return of each item. Failure to do so will result in a $5 surcharge in addition to refueling costs.
